JAMMU, Aug 7: Senior Congress leader of J&K Varun Magotra today said that the Jammuites are suffering due to wrong policies of the Central as well as J&K Government.
Interacting with the residents and traders of Khilone Wali Gali and surrounding areas of Jammu East Constituency, Magotra said that not only the traders but common masses are facing financial problems due to uncontrolled hike in prices of essential commodities.
He said that the Central Government led by BJP has completely failed to controlled hike in prices of LPG, petrol/diesel, edible oils, fruits and other essential commodities.
“Common masses have been suffering, the educated youth are wandering jobless and moving towards drugs and people are even struggling for getting regular water and power supply,” Magotra said.
The Congress leader assured the people of the area, especially the residents of Khilone Wali Gali that he will take up their demands regarding development of lanes and drains with the appropriate authorities.
Magotra sought the support of the people of Jammu East for all matters, including revival of economic, cultural, social and political activities.
He was accompanied by party leaders Gorav Chopra (Corporator Ward No- 28) Anil Kolhi (general secretary DCC Jammu), Ashvani Handa, Nageshwar Naryan (general secretary DCC Jammu) and Vishal Singh. Others present on the occasion were Sanjeev Kolhi (chairman, Khilone Wali Gali Market Association), Varun Verma (vice president Swarnkar Sangh), Bharat Bushan, Kuldeep Kumar, Vishal Khajuria and Uvi Rajput.
