JAMMU, July 25: Jammu Yatri Bhawan has donated Rs 5,51000 for treatment of physically challenged patients, who have been recommended operations by a team of doctors visiting free medical camp during Shrimat Bhagwat Katha programme.
The Bhagwat Katha programme on the occasion of holy Shravan Mass, was organized by Narayan Seva Sansthan in collaboration with Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust at Om Palace, Shakti Nagar, Jammu, which culminated yesterday with the chanting of Vedic Mantras, conducting of Havan and Puran Ahuti as well.
A large numbers of devotees coming from far off areas, who participated in the Bhagwat Katha programme during the week, sought blessings of lord Krishna, Lord Shiva and Maa Bhagwati Ji.
The Katha was organized by the Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust Jammu to receive funds for the welfare of the orphans, physically challenged destitute and needy persons and to create spiritual awareness among the devotees in large. As committed by the Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust Jammu, a team of expert doctors of Narayan Seva Sansthan conducted free medical check-up of physically handicapped persons and others. Patients who were recommended for operations by the team of expert doctors of the Sansthan, shall be operated upon at Udaipur, Rajasthan subsequently.
On the occasion, Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust donated an amount of Rs 551000/- for conducting further treatment / operations of such physically handicapped persons recommended by the team of doctors, informed Pawan Kumar Shastri, president of Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust.
