RAMNAGAR, Apr 15: Lashing out at the coalition Government for persistent neglect and deprivation of Jammu region, Harshdev Singh (MLA) today claimed that NPP alone could salvage Jammu Pradesh and ensure restoration of its lost glory and pride.
Urging upon the general masses to unite and strengthen the National Panthers Party, he said it alone could end the policies of bias and prejudice in various fields being pursued against the Dogra land by successive State Govts. He was addressing a public gathering today at Ramnagar alongwith other Party legislators Balwant Singh Mankotia (MLA), Yash Paul Kundal (MLA), Syed Rafiq Shah (MLC) besides others.
Speaking on the occasion the NPP chairman reiterated the resolve of the Party to strive for equitable treatment to all regions of the State with removal of all regional imbalances, ensuring due share to Jammu and Ladakh regions. He said that Jammu Pradesh needed to be compensated in terms of development projects, funds allocation, employment, Road connectivity, tourism, health and Power Sector. Castigating the Jammu based Ministers for playing s second fiddle to Kashmir leadership, he said that they had bartered away the interests of Jammu region for petty political gains. He said it was NPP alone which had proved its mettle in the just concluded session of Assembly and raked up all possible issues confronting the common man and exposed the Govt.
Regarding the constituency-specific issues, NPP leader said that Ramnagar was being developed as a model constituency and had become an example for others to emulate. He said that all four blocks of the constituency namely Ramnagar, Dudu Basantgarh, Ghordi and Majalta were being given focused attention and assured of uniform development in various sectors.
Balwant Singh Mankotia said that NPP had gained popularity and acceptability in all regions and sub regions of the State. He said that there was a nationwide trend in favour of regional political Parties and the people of state in general and Jammu Pradesh in particular were showing keen interest in policies and programmes of NPP.
