Jammu District clinches titles in U-14 TT, Fencing

JAMMU, Oct 15: The Inter-District Under-14 competitions in Table Tennis and Fencing concluded at MA Stadium, here today, highlighting emerging talent from across the Union Territory.
Jammu emerged as the overall winner in Table Tennis, with the girls’ team defeating District Srinagar by 3-0, featuring players Myra, Srishti, Bhavuin Kour, Ridhima Gupta and Samira.
The boys’ team secured a similar 3-0 victory against District Poonch, with Saiyam Nischal, Samar Bansal, Azhan Anand, Ishan Gupta and Zain Bhatt leading the charge.
In the Fencing competitions, standout performances included Jagriti Vaid (Jammu) winning first place in Girls’ Epee, followed by Ayesha Hilal (Bandipora) and Jazzleen Kour (Jammu). Girls’ Fabre saw Shrija Bali (Jammu) clinch first, with Aekas Gupta and Janell Mattoo completing the podium. Boys’ Epee gold went to Hridhann Gorver (Jammu), with Souvik Rajput (Jammu) and Faizan Bin Paravaz (Bandipora) as runners-up. In Boys’ Sabre, Bipinjot Singh (Jammu) secured the top spot, followed by Sagar Raina and Mansirat Singh Paravaz (both Jammu). The events were conducted by experienced officials ensuring fair play, and DYSSO Jammu encouraged participants to uphold sportsmanship. Medals and certificates were distributed to winners and runners-up, marking a successful conclusion to the competitions.
