JAMMU, Dec 24: The Special Crime Wing (SCW) of the Crime Branch Jammu today filed a chargesheet against one individual, who was booked in a cheating case registered two years back.
An SCW official said an FIR under section 420 of the IPC was registered against one Parvinder Singh of Deoli, Bishnah, after the complainant alleged that the former dishonestly obtained an amount of Rs 6.50 lakh from him.
According to him, the accused fraudulently induced the former to purchase a shop along with land at Dabber, Bishnah and obtained the amount, despite having no ownership over the property.
He said the investigation established that the accused acted with criminal intent from the very inception and cheated the complainant for wrongful gains.
After proper investigation of the case by Inspector Deepak Bharti of Special Crime Wing, the SCW official said, the Crime Branch Jammu, under the overall supervision of Sanjay Parihar, SSP Crime Branch (SCW) Jammu, today presented the chargesheet in the case before the Electricity Court, Jammu.
