JAMMU, Sept 8: Jammu College of Physiotherapy celebrated World Physiotherapy Day with a series of activities aimed at promoting awareness about the importance of physiotherapy in healthy ageing.
As part of the programme, a poster-making and debate competition on the theme Healthy Ageing was organized within the college premises. Students from different professional years participated enthusiastically, presenting their ideas through creative posters and thought-provoking debates. The event was adjudicated by Sunita Magotra , Principal Trikuta Degree college and Dr. Gursimran, who praised the students for their innovative presentations. The winners of the competition were later felicitated with prizes.
Continuing the celebrations, the college also organized a Free Physiotherapy Camp at Aap Shambu Mandir, Roop Nagar. The camp was led by Dr. Sugham Salathia, accompanied by final-year students of the college. During the camp, around 40 patients presenting with various musculoskeletal and neurological conditions were examined and treated by the team.
Principal of Jammu College of Physiotherapy, Dr. Navinderpal, commended the faculty and students for their dedicated efforts in successfully organizing the series of events. He also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the management of the college, especially Chairperson Suman Sharma, for their constant support in facilitating such community-oriented initiatives.
