AKHNOOR, Dec 24: Jammu Province Bachao Manch (JBM) has launched week long “Ekta Abhiyan” to unite the people of Jammu Province on one social plateform for statehood with land and job guarantee besides highlighting unrest among youth, farmers and workmen, eradication of corruption, drug abuse etc.
The Ekta Abhiyan was launched here today during a meeting held at Bawa Talab after offering prayers for its success before Bawa Jitto.
Chairman JBM and former MLA, Advocate Ashok Sharma disclosed that during this Ekta Abhiyan, people at the grass root level will be contacted while holdings meetings at Raj Pura, Talab Tilloo, Bharat Nagar, Rehari, Roop Nagar, Sainik Colony and Jarh Abtal. The Ekta Abhiyan will culminate into “Ekta Sammelan” at Press Club Jammu on January 4, 2024 at 11.00 AM.
On this occasion, Bishan Verma was unanimously elected as President for Ban Batehra and Nirmal Singh as President for village Gura Singhu. They will constitute their teams shortly.
Among others, who spoke on the occasion, included Dr Kuldeep Sharma, Satish Punchi, Dr Yesh Paul Sharma (IGP-Retd), S Kamalpreet Singh, Davinder Singh Jamwal and Kailash Nath. The meeting was organised by Advocate Naresh Chander Sharma, Coordinator JBM.
