NEW DELHI, Oct 18: The Council of Welfare of Sportsman organized Swabhiman Khel Ratan Awards 2019 at Delhi Technological University (DTU), New Delhi, recently.
The awards are considered to be one of the most coveted in the fitness industry of India.
Pertinent to mention here that Mohinder Manhas, who is working as AEE in PHE Mechanical Department was the Deputy Chairperson of the Jury at the “Swabhiman Khel Ratan Awards”.
Prominent among the jury were Yasmeen Chauhan IFBB Pro athlete, the chairperson of the Jury while Aman Sharma and Poonam Sharma Tarriq were also among the Jury members. Tilak Raj Malik, President Delhi Council of Welfare of Sportsman was the main organiser of the Awards.
Various category of awards were presented to the athletes on the occasion which include Lifetime achievement award, Fitness icon award, Youth fitness icon award, Upcoming icon award of industry, Best fitness influencer, Best Coach, Community involvement award and Fitness academy award.
Three athletes from Jammu who were awarded in different categories included Rahul Dev Manhas, who won the Fitness Icon award, Samrat Jamwal won the Best Coach award while Raj Kumar won the Fitness Icon award 2019.
Others who received certificates of honour included Shramik Mahajan, Vikas Thapar and Vikrant Jamwal from Jammu.
The Swabhiman Khel Ratan Awards are one of the highest Body Building Awards presented to the Body Builders across the Nation.
The chief guest on the occasion was Ram Niwas Goel, Speaker Delhi Vidhan Sabha, while the guests of honour were Prof Yogesh Singh, Vice Chancellor DTU, Sangram Chougule Mr Universe, Mr World and eminent sportsperson, Prof Shamsher Singh Register DTU.
The awards were attended by one of the biggest names in Fitness Industry which included Padam Shri Prem Chand Digra, Yasmeen Chauhan IFBB PRO, Yatinder Singh, Wasim Khan, Shiv Kumar, Puneet Sandhu, Bindiya Sharma and Rajat Goel, Vaishnavi Boora and Poonam Sharma.
