JAMMU, May 30: The Jal Shakti Department has appointed Ajay Kumar Gupta, I/C Superintending Engineer, RTIC Jammu as Inquiry Officer to conduct enquiry for allegations levelled against Rohit Gupta, the then I/C AEE, Irrigation and Flood Control Division, Akhnoor (now I/C Executive Engineer, ERA, J&K).
As per the government order the Inquiry Officer shall submit his report along with specific recommendations within 10 days positively from the date of issuance of the order.
Earlier Vijay Gupta, the then I/C Superintending Engineer was appointed as Inquiry Officer to conduct the enquiry but he did not submit the enquiry report and retired from his service after which the case was again examined in the department and the Competent Authority decided to appoint Ajay Kumar Gupta the new Inquiry Officer to complete the enquiry into the matter.
