Jagti inmates’ concern over shortage of staff in schools

JAMMU, Apr 16: The inmates of Jagti township have expressed serious concern over shortage of teaching and non teaching staff in Government Higher Secondary School Jagti and Middle School Jagti.
The inmates of the township through social activist Sunil Pandita have appealed the Director School Education seeking his intervention in the matter. They have demanded that the staff be posted in the schools of Jagti township immediately as the students studies have been affected due to lack of teaching staff.
They said due to shortage of teaching staff now parents are worried for enrolling their wards in this Institution. In view of the shortage of staff, they requested the Director to arrange posting of the teaching/non teaching staff in this Higher Secondary at an earliest for ensuring meritorious educational carrier of enrolled students.
The School has shortage of English, Commerce, Hindi, Zoology, Physical Education, Computer Science teachers for Class 11th and 12th and Hindi, Urdu, Social Studies for Class 9th and 10th.
Moreover, there is also shortage on Non Teaching Staff including Laboratory Assistant, Lab.Bearer, Library staff, Chowkidar, Sweeper and Peon.
