JAMMU, Aug 25: Dogri Sanstha Jammu released the Dogri poetry collection “Khalar” by Jagmohan Sharma at Kunwar Viyogi Auditorium, Karan Nagar, Jammu.
The programme was presided over by Prof Lalit Magotra, president of Dogri Sanstha Jammu. Dr Jitendra Udhampuri graced the occasion as the chief guest while the vice-president of the Sanstha Prof Veena Gupta, was present as the special guest. On the occasion, Vijay Kumar Bajaj presented an elaborate paper on the book.
In his presidential address, Prof Magotra said that “Khalar” is a new and significant addition to the tradition of Dogri poetry. Dr Jitendra Udhampuri noted that Jagmohan Sharma’s poems reflect social concerns.
The programme was conducted by young Dogri writer and theatre artist Pawan Verma. The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of prominent writers, poets, critics, art and culture lovers, along with members of Jagmohan Sharma’s family.
