J&K Ju-Jitsu team excels; Handa honours players

JAMMU, Dec 17: President J&K Ju-Jitsu Association, Deepak Handa and Patron Bupesh Gupta honoured the players of J&K Ju-Jitsu team which brought laurels to the Union Territory by winning 11 medals, with 2 gold, 6 silver and 3 bronze in the recently held Nationals in Lucknow.
Around 600 participants from 19 States participated in 2019 National Ju-Jitsu Championship which was held at KD Singh Babu Stadium, Hazratganj, Lucknow from December 13 to 15, 2019.
21 players from J&K participated in the Championship and the mnedal winners amongst them were Darsh Bhat (Gold); Zayin Dobriyal (Gold); Parth Mahajan (Silver); Anika Rai (Silver); Tarkish Verma (Silver); Lavanya Sharma (Silver); Janvi Singh (Silver); Mohd Kaif (Silver); Ina Dhar (Bronze); Droan Dushyant Kohli (Bronze) and Kouvam Gupta (Bronze).
The President also congratulated Tarseem Sharma (Overall In-charge), Koushal Gargh (Manager), Danish Sharma (National Referee) Harsh Vardhan Raina and Ashima (Coaches).
