JAMMU, Dec 5: A delegation of the J&K ITI Employees United Front, headed by its J&K (UT) president and National vice president, Nazir Ahmed Molvi, along with Naresh Sharma (Vice president) and other members, attended a meeting convened by Shahzad Alam, Director, Skill Development Department, J&KUT, at his office chamber in Jammu.
The delegation held a detailed discussion on several genuine demands, including the finalization of Recruitment Rules, conducting of DPCs for State cadre and Divisional Cadre, re-organization of the Skill Development Department, establishment of a mechanism to balance the demand and supply of skilled manpower, regularization of all Contractual, Consolidated, and Academic Vocational Instructors who have completed ten years of service, sustainability of the VTIP/IMC Scheme and release of pending salaries of staff engaged under these schemes, and uniform designation/change of nomenclature of VI and GI posts along with issuance of an Executive order regarding the same.
The Director assured the delegation that all the demands would be addressed on a priority basis and directed the concerned officers of the Skill Development Department to take prompt action on these issues.
