POONCH, Apr 10: A Head Constable of ITBP deployed on election duty in Dhar Gloon area of Mendhar, under Gursai Police jurisdiction was injured in accidental fire.
A police spokesman said that mishap took place when the ITBP team was conducting inspection in the polling booth at Dhar Galoon last night. Suddenly, the gun of Head Constable Bhola Ram of 21 Bn of ITBP fell down and a bullet hit another Head Constable, Krishan Chand Sahu.
He was rushed to local Primary Health Centre Dhar Galoon and then referred to Military Hospital, Rajouri. His condition was stated to be stable. Gursai police has taken cognizance of the matter.
