DODA, Dec 8: The district unit of Jammu Kashmir Handicapped Welfare Forum (JKHWF) today appealed State Health Minister (HM) and Director, Health Services, Jammu, to issue disability certificate at block level instead of district level.
“The Doda district is totally hilly and most of disabled persons are living in rural areas. They face a lot of difficulties to reach District Hospital Doda for disability certificate, as sometime doctors are not available in the hospital. Therefore we request Health Minister, Ch Lal Singh and Director, Health Services, Jammu, BS Pathania, to issue orders for providing disability certificate at block level”, district president, JKHWA, Farooq Ahmed said.
Ahmed further appealed HM and Director Health Services, to issue directions to CMO Doda to organize camps in the district in association with JKHWA Doda, where disability certificates may be issued without any difficulty.
