KATHUA, Nov 27: The ongoing hunger strike for CBI or NIA probe into Ishu Nullah triple murder case at Billawar, entered into 4th consecutive day on Thursday.
The protesting families refused the proposal of ADC Billawer Vinay Khosla and ASP Rahul Charak to withdraw hunger strike and reiterated the demand of CBI or NIA enquiry into the matter.
Chamail Singh on hunger strike clearly highlighted his three demands, which include handing over the case to CBI or NIA, written assurance by Deputy Commissioner Kathua for registration of FIR as militancy case and enquiry of then SP operation and SHO Billawar to find out the suspected role of these officer to handle this case carelessly which is still unsolved.
Meanwhile, health condition of the persons sitting on hunger strike, including Chamail Singh, Balkar Singh and Ashwani Kumar has detorated .
The protesters also took out a protest rally from Billawer to Phinter Chowk and blocked the road where an heated exchange took place police tried to disperse the protest.
The protesters raised anti police and anti Govt slogans. Numbers of social and political organisation are supporting the hunger strike.
It may be recalled that bodies of Varun Singh (15) of Dehota, his uncle Yogesh Singh (32) and maternal uncle Darshan Singh (40) were recovered from a waterfall in Ishu Nallah in the remote Malhar area, three days after they went missing on March 5 while going for a marriage ceremony.
Waiting for justice since last nine months, family members of Ishu Nullah murder case victims are sitting on indefinite hunger strike in the premises of Shiv Temple Billawer with the support of hundreds of people , who are joining them in hunger strike at the dharna site.
