ISBTI provides relief material to flood victims

JAMMU, Sept 24: Administrator of Swami Vivekananda Medical Mission Charitable Hospital Ambphala and Secretary General of Indian Society of Blood Transfusion and Immunohaematology (ISBTI) Dr TR Raina along with Rajiv Chuni, Chairman, SOS International visited the flood hit areas of Sunderbani, Nowshera and Rajouri.
They distributed blankets and food material to the flood affected people. The relief material included 400 blankets worth Rs 50,000 provided by ISBTI National body, 300 blankets were arranged from the donation made by the doctors of Swami Vivekananda Hospital Jammu and 500 blankets and 150 ladies shawls were provided by SOS International.
In a statement issued, Dr Raina said that he is in touch with the life members of ISBTI spread all over the country who have assured him full support in this hour of need and very shortly more blankets shall be arranged by ISBTI and distributed to the needy people in some other far flung areas of the State.
