TEHRAN, Aug 29: Iran is ready to reach a new nuclear agreement that will take into account the interests and rights of the Iranian people, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said in a letter to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres published on Friday.
Iran reiterates its commitment to meaningful diplomatic cooperation to reach a new agreement [on the nuclear issue] that will take into account not only Tehran s rights and interests under the NPT [the Non-Proliferation Treaty], but also all mutual concerns, including sanctions against the Iranian people that affect their lives and well-being, Araghchi said in a letter published on his Telegram.
