Iran agreed to allow 20 Pakistani vessels through Strait of Hormuz: Islamabad

MOSCOW, Mar 29: Iran has agreed to allow 20 Pakistani-flagged vessels through the Strait of Hormuz, Pakistani Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar announced.
“I am pleased to share a great news that the Government of Iran has agreed to allow 20 more ships under the Pakistani flag to pass through the Strait of Hormuz; two ships will cross the Strait daily,” Dar said on X.
Dar called Iran’s decision an important step that will strengthen collective efforts to achieve peace in the region.
The US and Israel began striking targets in Iran on February 28. Iran is retaliating by launching strikes against Israeli territory, as well as against US military targets in the Middle East.
Meanwhile, shipping through the Strait of Hormuz – a key route for supplying oil and liquefied natural gas from the Persian Gulf countries to global markets – has effectively ground to a halt. As a result, fuel prices are rising in most countries around the world. (UNI)
