JAMMU, Mar 2: Iqbal Singh has been elected as president of J&K Bank Pensioners’ Federation in the election process conducted today.
The election process, marked by a spirit of unity and consensus, saw all candidates elected unanimously, reinforcing the association’s commitment to the welfare of retired employees.
The proceedings began with an inaugural address by general secretary RK Bhan, who highlighted the association’s ongoing efforts to safeguard the rights and well-being of retired employees. President Mohinder Singh followed with his remarks, emphasizing the importance of collective representation and mutual support among the retired fraternity. The elections were conducted under the supervision of Election Commissioner Jawahar Jyoti, with guidance from president Mohinder Singh ensuring a transparent and fair process.
Following the smooth and unanimous election, Iqbal Singh was chosen as the president of the Federation; Mohd Amin Khan and VD Dogra were elected as vice presidents; Zafar Ahmed Makdoomi as general secretary, while Nazir Ahmed Bhat was appointed as treasurer to manage financial matters efficiently.
To further reinforce financial oversight, Ved Prakash Gupta was elected as associate treasurer. The positions of secretaries were entrusted to RK Bhan and Mushtaq Ahmed Ahenger.
The election also saw the induction of Shahzad Hussain Teli, Mir Bashir Ahmed, Prem Parkash Gupta, and Chander Hass Sharma as Federation Executive Members.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by RK Bhan, who acknowledged the seamless election process and the enthusiasm of all members. He reaffirmed the Association’s commitment to ensuring a dignified and secure post-retirement life for all J&K Bank retirees, stressing the importance of unity and continued engagement in collective welfare.
