JAMMU, June 12: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has transferred IPS officer P D Nitya from the AGMUT cadre to the Rajasthan cadre on the grounds of her marriage with Rajasthan cadre IPS officer Pankaj Yadav.

Nitya, a 2016 batch IPS officer, has previously served as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Leh and was currently posted as SSP Pulwama.
As per an order, the transfer was made under Rule 5(2) of the Indian Police Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954 and the decision to transfer her was taken with the concurrence of the UT Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Government of Rajasthan.
“In exercise of powers conferred under Sub-Rule (2) of Indian Police Service (Cadre) Rules-1954, and with the concurrence of the UT division of this Ministry and Government of Rajasthan, the Central Government hereby transfers PD Nitya, IPS (AGMUT: 2016) from AGMUT cadre to Rajasthan cadre on the grounds of her marriage with Pankaj Yadav, IPS (RJ: 2022),” read an order issued by DK Ghosh, Deputy Secretary to the Government of India.
