PUNE: Following the Bombay High Court ruling which ordered all IPL matches scheduled after April 30, to be shifted out of the state, only three matches would now be played in pune.
While the first, Rising pune supergiants vs Royal Challengers Bangalore, is scheduled on April 22, the second, between Rising pune supergiants and Kolkata Knight riders is due to be played on April 24. The third match is scheduled on April 29, is between Rising pune supergiant and Gujrat Lions.
The remaining six matches will be played elsewhere. They are scheduled on May 1, May 10, May 17, May 21, May 25 and May 27. Mumbai Cricket association (MCA) president Ajay Shirke today said matches will be played in Pune till April 30 without elaborating further.
The move has left hundreds of city- based IPL fans upset. City based Digvijay Naik, currently studying law, said I was particularly looking forward to catch april 22 and May 1 matches because i am a big fan of MS Dhoni. It would be great to see Pune supergiants playing against Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Now that the may 1 match will not happen in Pune.
I will check the schedule of Wankhede ( Mumbai) matches and book a ticket. (AGENCIES)
