IOC fleet being flagged off for Leh from Jammu on Monday

JAMMU, Apr 8: IOC fleet for Leh Kargil Division was flagged off today at Companies Depot Rail Head complex. A large number of transporters drivers, cleaners and IOC Companies officials and officers were present on the occasion to flag off the fleet. A handout issued by J&K Oil Tank Drivers and Cleaners Union said that 20 tankers left for Leh today as road connectivity was restored to Ladakh region.
The flagging off function was chaired by S P Singh, senior Depot Manager IOC Ltd and he was accompanied by Ranjeet Singh Raina, president All J&K Oil Tank Drivers Cleaners Union. Sadiq Ali and Vishal Gupta senior managers from IOC Ltd. Besides Davinder Singh general secretary J&K Tank Drivers Union, Sanjay form M/S BLSN, Juzar Singh Rissan, Raman Gupta, Davinder Singh, S Tarlok Singh were also present on the occasion.
They all prayed for the betterment and upliftment of the trade which is in the larger interests of the transport community. Ardas was held for the safe passage of fleet and prayers were held for safety and security of drivers plying their vehicles on this road at the risk of their lives. As a good omen a coconut was also broken by senior Depot Manager IOC Ltd, S P Singh.
