JAMMU, May 7: 1st Invitational Karate Do Championship 2014 and a belt grading test was held at Dogra Higher Secondary School, Gandhi Nagar, organized by Renmei Goju Ryu Karate-Do Federation of India, today.
The championship was held under the supervision of Shihan Sanjeev Dewan , chief instructor (India) RGKFI, 6th Degree Back Belt 4th Dan, All India Do Federation, Sensei Rajinder Kumar, 2nd Dan Black Belt RGKFI.
In the championship, Sahil Singh Manhas won the silver medal, Poonam Katoch won the silver medal, Chetan Malhotra won the silver medal, Mahinder Singh won the bronze medal, Rohit Padha won the bronze medal.
Mahinder Singh and Poonam Katoch won the non-Kyu (yellow belt), Sahil Singh Manhas also won white 2nd strip.
In the concluding ceremony, Gambhir Dev Singh Charak-guest of honour was presented with first degree Black belt and Shailendra Gulati-president RGKFI was presented 2nd Degree Black belt by Shihan Sanjeev Devan, chief instructor(India) RGKFI.
Principal of Naveen Vidya Mandir Higher Secondary School also appreciated the participated and congratulated the winning katatekas.
