Intolerance in youth

Sir,
It is sad that the tendency of intolerance and  violence in people is rising with each passing day.We have such incidents over the past sometime, which are against the basic tenets of humanity and make our head hang in shame. There are reports of  girls and women of various age groups being gangraped and then murdered after the heinous and gruesome act. In some incidents, girls are murdered in the name of honour killings by none other than their close relatives such as uncles, brothers etc.
There have also been reports of kidnappings and murder of young boys  by their own friends.Surprising as it is, people are also murdered over land disputes, road rage incidents and even in the dhabas and petrol pump stations over trifles. In yet another incident, a girl was attacked with acid by none other than another girl. Not only the human beings, even animals are targeted.A few days ago, a crazy person threw down a dog from a multistorey building to see what happens to the poor creature. Some young boys crossed all limits of cruelty and burnt three puppies to death. The question is where our children and youth are heading for and why they are directing their anger in the wrong direction and  becoming so violent, brutal and cruel and lose their temper over trifles and in some cases without any provocation.
It is,therefore, the duty of the intelligentia, social scientists, political leaders, planners, academecians, child psychologist to sit together, introspect, identify the causes behind such behaviour and devise corrective measures to prevent such violent behavioural tendencies in our teenagers and adults to prevent such unfortunate incidents in India.
Yours etc….
