JAMMU, July 11: An international conference on Applied Artificial Intelligence and Innovation (AAIIC), organised by Yogananda School of AI, Computers and Data Sciences (YSAICDS), was commenced at Shoolini University today.
The two-day conference has brought together experts from academia and industry around the world to discuss the future of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Dr Piyush Sewal, Assistant Professor at YSAICDS, opened the event by welcoming all dignitaries, speakers and participants.
Prof Virender Rihani, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, began the proceedings with an address highlighting the growing importance of AI in both industry and education.
Chancellor and chief patron of AAIIC 2025, Prof P K Khosla said, “AI is in high demand across sectors and that this conference offers a global platform for experts to work together on real-world problems using AI technologies.
Vice Chancellor, Shoolini University, Prof Atul Khosla said, “The conference promotes an interdisciplinary approach to AI, combining technology, science and societal needs. AI is central to many activities at Shoolini University and the institution is making strong progress in developing AI-based solutions for India and beyond.”
Prof Ashish Khosla, director of Innovation and patron of AAIIC 2025 said that Shoolini is creating a space where researchers, industry professionals and students can work together on meaningful AI projects.
Dr Manju Khari, Professor at Jawaharlal Nehru University and Theme Chair of the conference, explained the main goals and collaborative nature of AAIIC 2025.
She was joined by Prof K K Patel from Charotar University of Science and Technology, who also serves as a theme chair.
Both spoke about the need for teamwork in AI research and development.
Several keynote speakers who shared their insights during the conference included Dr Sanjay Misra (Universidad de Alcala, Norway), Dr Shailendra Rathore (Abertay University, UK), Dr Yerzhan Kerimbekov (Zhanibekov University, Kazakhstan), Dr Laura Baitokayeva (Nazarbayev Intellectual School, Kazakhstan), Dr Tomáš (Palacký University, Czech Republic), Apoorv Aggarwal and Rajit Sikka.
The event was organised by Prof Pankaj Vaidya and Dr Gaurav Gupta, who have played a key role in planning and organising the conference.
