JAMMU, Feb 7: In a meeting held here under the chairmanship of eminent journalist, OP Sharma, the Interaction Forum, Jammu province, discussed core issues of Jammu Province.
It was resolved in the meeting that a ‘Vision Document for Jammu Province’ will be prepared by committee of experts of the Forum.
It was unanimously decided that the ‘Interaction Forum Jammu Province’ will establish its district wise Fora in a phased manner. It was also decided that detailed interactions of the Forum will be organized on February 28 at Rajouri, followed by Kathua on March 6.
The long term and short term core issues of Jammu Province were also deliberated upon. It was decided that an extensive awareness campaign on the core issues of Jammu Province will be undertaken in urban and rural areas.
The Forum shall also organize seminars and other interactive activities periodically on selective issues. Various committees of experts of the Forum were decided to be constituted to prepare data based documents in respect of vital core issues for disseminating the same and placed to the public domain.
A thorough review of the Interaction of the Forum held in Press Club on January 23 was taken and the draft Minutes were approved. One year’s calendar of activities of the Forum, including enlistment of members and organizational set up of the Forum was discussed thread bare.
Prominet among those who attended the meeting included KB Jandial, former DG Information, JL Bhagat, CL Dhiman, Ex-MLC, HC Jalmeria, Advocate, Dr Hari Dutt Shishu, Ex-Councilor and former MLA, Babu Ram Bhagat.
