UDHAMPUR, Nov 29:During routine traffic checking at Naka Jakheni, the Police Party of PS Udhampur led by SHO, Purab Singh intercepted a truck bearing registration number PB02CC-6613, which was coming from Srinagar towards Udhampur.
On thorough checking of the vehicle, 6.95 kg of poppy straw was recovered from cabin of the truck. Police seized the poppy star and arrested driver of the truck, identified as Mukhtar Singh, son of Puran Singh, resident of Ward number 4, Station Road, Ramdas, District Amritsar.
In this regard, FIR number 408/2025, under section U/S 8/15 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Udhampur.
