JAMMU, July 14: Police in Jammu’s Miran Sahib area have busted an inter-State drug network by arresting two drug peddlers and recovering over 11 kilograms of ganja from their possession.
A police official said during routine checking at Balol naka, two persons riding on a motorcycle (JK02CX6327), identified as Girdhari Lal of Madhya Pradesh and Suraj Kumar of Uttar Pradesh, were arrested with 11.6 kilograms of ganja.
The bike they were riding on was also seized, he said.
According to him, both were working as drug peddlers, and their further questioning is expected to provide leads on the supply chain and distribution network of the contraband.
He said the accused have been booked in case FIR number 93/2025 under sections 8/20/29/60 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and further investigation has been set into motion.
Pertinently, the operation was led by SHO Miran Sahib, Inspector Jai Paul Sharma and PSI Ajesh Singh Jamwal under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura and SP Headquarters, IH Rather.
