JAMMU, Nov 7: Stephens International Public School organized an inter-house science quiz in which students of grade five participated with great enthusiasm.
The competition aims at nurture and develope in students and teachers a love for the Sciences. It helps to sanitize the students on the important role of Science in our everyday life. This conscious awareness in our lives also helps to create a linkage between the Sciences and other pedagogical fields like mathematics and social studies.
The students learnt facts, carried out investigations and conducted experiments all in an effort to create authentic learning experiences for the students to ensure the maximum memorization and learning tools place. The students enjoyed learning exercises and often shared the results of their learning with their peers in the classroom.
The Peace House emerged as the winner of the quiz competition, whileas Joy House and Wisdom House bagged second and third positions respectively.
Principal Shibu Mathew K said that such quiz competitions motivate students to improve their knowledge of science and help them develop the skills for finding the answers which they otherwise might not know.
Among others present were Headmistress Jyotica Shafaat, HoD Science Davinder, Sumanpreet and Director Satvinder Saini.
