UDHAMPUR, Mar 20: Police arrested a drug peddler in Rehambal area and recovered 15.60 grams of heroin from his possession.
The accused, namely Varun Panday, son of Rajinder Kumar of New Plot, Janipur, Jammu, was apprehended by a police patrolling team of Police Station Rehambal, while conducting routine patrolling.
During his personal search, 15.60 grams of heroin concealed in a polypouch was recovered from the right pocket of his trousers.
Accordingly, the accused was arrested on the spot and FIR No. 56/2026 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered in this connection at Police Station Rehambal. Further investigation of the case is underway.
