Ramban, Oct 3: The Inter-District Divisional Level U-19 Girls Tournament was inaugurated today by MLA Arjun Singh Raju at Government Model Higher Secondary School, Batote. Organized by the Department of Youth Services & Sports, the event is being overseen by District Youth Services & Sports Officer Jagdish Raj Sharma.
Before the volleyball matches began, players took an oath of sportsmanship to promote fair play and team spirit. On the opening day, Rajouri defeated Kishtwar and Udhampur, Reasi triumphed over Samba and Doda, Kathua beat Ramban, while Udhampur emerged victorious against Poonch.
The tournament aims to encourage young girls to actively participate in sports and provides a valuable platform to showcase their talents at a competitive level.
