JAMMU, Aug 25: BJP district general secretary, Akhnoor and Ex Corporator Omi Khajuria has urged the PDD authorities to install the transformer at Anuradha Puram Sector 1, Barnai immediately which has developed a snag yesterday.
In a statement issued here today he said the residents of parts of Barnai, Anuradha Puram and some adjoining localities were put to lot of problem due to power failure in the area after the burning down of transformer in this hot and humid Summer. He said the old and infirm as well as infant children are worst sufferers due to complete blackout in the area.
In an appeal to Chief Engineer M&RE and Executive Engineer, Division 3rd, he urged them to ensure that the transformer is installed by tomorrow morning failing which the people will be forced to protest.
