JAMMU, Mar 29: The inhabitants of Muthi, Patoli, Purkhoo and Mishriwala have demanded installation of CCTVs on Flyover on Akhnoor road from Canal road to Muthi village.
In an appeal to NHIDCL authorities the residents of these villages demanded that the CCTVs be installed along flyover to trace the vehicles committing accidents on flyover.
They said the vehicles running fast on flyover often hit two wheelers and fled away. It is totally difficult to trace them in absence of CCTVs.
They said on March 28 two youth travelling from Jammu to Muthi on scooter were hit by a speedy vehicle on flyover which fled away after the accident. To avert such hit and run accidents the installation of CCTV cameras on flyover is must they said.
