Seated On A Riverbank
While seated on a riverbank ,
I count the stairs that lead to the deep waters
There are ripples on the surface mirroring the lines under my eyes
I try counting the ripples but fail when it comes to the eyes
There’s agony in the tree that shoots from the bank
It’s tired and upright of painting itself to be really tight
I look around and search for pebbles to make the ripples last longer
Some are edgy and sharp like destiny’s mark
While other’s are round and smooth like days of spring
I look up at the bougainvillea, it’s pink and bright.
I reminisce the roads treaded with bougainvillea on the sides.
The sun is setting behind the upright tree
I look at the myriad colours with a sigh
Taking a step towards the river , the waters reflect a promise
Seated on a riverbank I choose to take the dive.

SUNSHINE
Golden Blanket that lights the day
Soft warmth caresses every face
A gentle kiss where shadows lay
Mornings come with your grace.
Beneath you, the world takes flight
With silent promise, seeds grow.
Each heart follows your light
And all the petals start to glow.
Oh Sunshine! An endless song
Partner to the cool breeze.
To you, every soul belong
Without you, everything just freeze.
Dear Sunshine, bold and bright
Creator of every shadow, every shade
Kiss me and hug me tight,
Until your impression fade.

Mom
I long for peace after being unnoticed,
Being broken and being dejexted,
Then I realised I have ” Mom”
Felt depressed, felt alone and felt rejected,
Then I realised I have “Mom”
A soothing breeze she is !
How could one forget this?
A beautiful smile whenever she makes,
All my mourns seem to break
In her arms, I want to spend,
All my cheers and my bends.
