JAMMU: Security forces today foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control in Poonch district, killing three militants.
”Troops at around 1700 hrs noticed movement of militants near Line of Control in Saujiyan Sector of Poonch,” a defence spokesman said here.
Militants opened fire which was retaliated, he added. The operation was launched when an infiltration attempt was detected by surveillance devices, the spokesman said.
The area was cordoned off and search operations are in progress. (AGENCIES)
