Addressing a massive election rally at Gurdaspur in Punjab, bordering Kathua district of Jammu region, he charged that the INDI Alliance partners will send messages of friendship and roses to Pakistan.
“The INDIA block leaders are talking about restoration of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. They want to hand over Kashmir to separatists again. They want terrorism back in Kashmir. They pose great danger to security of the country,’’ Modi said.
He said the INDI Alliance leaders will send messages of friendship and roses to Pakistan again while Pakistan will carry out bomb blasts.
“There will be terrorist attacks on the country but the Congress will say we have to talk. For this, the Congress has already started creating an atmosphere. Their leaders are saying Pakistan has an atom bomb. Their people are saying we will have to live in fear of Pakistan. These INDI Alliance people are speaking Pakistan’s language,’’ the Prime Minister said.
Asserting that the Congress has no faith in India, Modi said the scions of Congress tarnish image of the country when they go abroad.
“They say that India is not a nation. Therefore, they want to change the nation’s identity,’’ he said.
He also referred to construction of Delhi-Katra Expressway to Amritsar-Pathankot National Highway besides Railways facilities expressing his commitment to progress and prosperity of Gurdaspur and Punjab.
Modi highlighted the INDI Alliance’s misgovernance in Punjab saying: “Who knows the real face of the INDI Alliance better than Punjab? They’ve inflicted the most wounds on our Punjab. The wound of division after independence, the long period of instability due to selfishness, a long period of unrest in Punjab, an attack on the brotherhood of Punjab, and an insult to our faith, what hasn’t Congress done in Punjab?
“Here, they fueled separatism. Then they orchestrated a massacre of Sikhs in Delhi. As long as Congress was in the Central Government, they saved the rioters. It’s Modi who opened the files of the Sikh riots. It’s Modi who got the culprits punished. Even today, Congress and its ally party are troubled by this. That’s why these people keep abusing Modi day and night.”
PTI adds: Prime Minister Narendra Modi alleged that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann cannot take any decisions on his own and had to go to the Tihar Jail in Delhi to take orders.
“Delhi ke darbari’ are running Punjab. The Punjab CM cannot take any decision on his own. His ‘maalik’ went to jail and the Punjab Government started shutting down,” he said, referring to the arrest and incarceration of Delhi Chief Minister and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal in the excise policy-linked money laundering case.
Kejriwal, whose AAP is in power in Punjab, was released after the Supreme Court granted him interim bail on May 10. He has to surrender on June 2.
“To take new orders and run the Government, the CM (Mann) had to go to the Tihar jail” and “he had to present his report card to him (Kejriwal)”, Modi said while canvassing for BJP Lok Sabha polls candidates Dinesh Babbu (Gurdaspur), Taranjit Singh Sandhu (Amritsar) and Anita Som Parkash (Hoshiarpur).
