JAMMU, Apr 3: Jammu and Kashmir BJP general secretary and former Minister, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, today slammed the opposition parties for playing dynastic politics to promote the interests of their own families, instead of working for the nation and its people.
Reacting to the remarks of the leaders of different parties at a press conference here, today against PM Narendra Modi in a rally of INDI Alliance in New Delhi, he said that BJP works on the principle of nation first, whereas almost all the parties in the opposition, including the regional parties of Jammu and Kashmir, have time and again proved that their families are more important and nation or its people have no place in their programmes and policies.
Flanked by BJP Media Relations Department co-incharge, Balbir Ram Rattan, senior leader, Sanjay Baru and Media incharge, Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Dr Manyal said in the recently held New Delhi rally of the INDI Alliance, heads or representatives of all those parties had come together, who have the record of always promoting own kith and kin and now their misdeeds, corruption and mis-governance has been exposed and it has forced them to form a united forum just to cover each other’s crimes and once again mislead the people to retain power.
Dr. Manyal said that the parties of the INDI Alliance have only focused to develop own families, but the BJP-led NDA Government under Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has extended numerous prestigious institutions of education to Jammu and Kashmir like other parts of the country. For the first time, J&K has got AIIMS, IIT, IIM, medical colleges at district levels, better means of road, rail, air connectivity, adopted zero tolerance against terrorism and brought peace in the Valley. The refugees from West Pakistan have been granted citizenship rights, daughters of the soil are feeling honoured with the removal of 35-A along with Article 370.
Dr. Manyal said that the number of universities in India before 2014 was 400 and it has gone up to 1100 from 2014 to 2024. Similarly, from 7 AIIMS, now there are 22 AIIMS in the country, the number of MBBS and PG seats has doubled now. What had not been done in 70 years of Congress and other parties, has been done in just ten years under the Modi Government, which is a major achievement for the nation and its citizens, he added.
“Modi Government has plugged corruption, put full stop on family-based politics and brought honour for India at the world level”, Manyal said and added that today we are exporting arms and ammunition, created history of launching more than a hundred satellites in a single day, promoted local products, launched welfare schemes for poor, needy, women, farmers, ex-servicemen and so on.
