Improve telecom network

Sir,
This has reference to the article ‘Zero connectivity at the zero line’ DE Mar 22.
The article reveals clearly the problems border people face in absence of telecom connectivity. There is no doubt that the Government might be in a fix whether to install towers or  not, because of being a border region. The security concern may have prompted the service providers to be slack in their approach. However, there is the option of jammers which can not allow to and fro movement of signals from across the border.
The service providers should find a way out to this security sensitive issue and erect towers so that people living in this region can share their smiles and sorrows with their relatives living in many parts of the country, besides having means to deal with emergency situation as one narrated by the author. In this age of internet, it will be a dis-service to the people here, if they remain deprived of this facility.
Yours etc…
