JAMMU, Nov 11: Former Minister and MLA Raipur-Domana Assembly Segment, Bali Bhagat today said that BJP is fully committed towards the decentralisation of power at the grass-root level.
While addressing a public gathering at Panchayat Hakkal Bhagat said Panchayati Raj generally refers to the system of local self-government and after the implementation of the provisions of 73rdConstitutional Amendment Act ; the Panchayati Raj system in J&K will function as a system of governance in which gram Panchayats will be the basic units of local administration.Bhagat urged the people to participate in the Panchayati elections with more zeal and passion as it will bring change in the socio-economic condition of the people at village level.
He further said that Panchayat Hakkal has witnessed an unprecedented development during the last three years during BJP regime. He said during the last three years; three Service Stations were created in the power sector where as three Service Stations were upgraded in Panchayat Hakkal. Road connectivity has become better, he added.
