IMA Jammu calls for candle lighting tribute to COVID martyrs

JAMMU, Jan 29: The Executive Committee of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Jammu branch held an online meeting today to formalize participation in the upcoming National COVID Martyr’s Day, following the resolution passed by IMA Headquarters.
The meeting was attended by a executive members, including Dr. D.K.Manyal, Patron, Dr. Pavan Malhotra, President, Dr. Arun Arora, Vice President, Dr. Sanjeev Narang, Honorary Secretary, Dr T R Raina, Chief Advisor and Members Executive Committee Dr. Bharat Bhushan Gupta, Dr. Neerupama Dogra, Dr Gurjeet Singh, Dr Rakesh Kakkar, Dr Sandeep Dogra and Dr Vijay Kundal
In a collective show of solidarity, the committee resolved to honor the ultimate sacrifice made by healthcare professionals during the pandemic. The initiative aims to pay homage to the “Frontline Warriors” who lost their lives in the line of duty.
IMA Jammu officially requests all clinicians, medical professionals working in Government or private hospitals, and clinical establishments across the region to participate in this tribute by lighting a candle at their respective place of work between 7-8 PM.
The association emphasizes that this gesture serves not only as a remembrance of those lost but as a reminder of the dedication inherent in the medical profession.
