Srinagar, Mar 6: Police today said to have seized illicit timber at the Kiterdaji Rafiabad area of Sopore.
As per police, acting on specific input about timber smuggling at Kiterdaji Rafiabad, a police party of PS Dangiwacha under the close supervision of SDPO Rafiabad Ameen Bhat-JKPS raided the particular spot and seized illicit timber.
“However, the accused persons involved in the commission of crime managed to escape from the spot,” police said, adding efforts are on to arrest the person involved
Accordingly, police said, a case vide FIR No. 22/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Dangiwacha and further investigation set into motion.
