DODA, May 1: Forest Department has seized illicit timber and 3 cutters viz arrested one person from range Bhallesa.
As per reports, a forest team headed by Ranger Officer Bhallessa Sameer Rishu launched an operation to check illegal cutting of green gold.
During the operation, the team seized 52 cft illicit timber and 3 cutter machines in Compartment 55 B of Bhallessa forest range.
The team also arrested one person, who has been identified as Hashim Din, son of Ghulam Qadir, a resident of Banjar.
The arrested person has been booked under the provision of Forest Act 26 of Indian Forest and action as warranted under rule has been initiated against him.
The entire illicit stuff has been taken into custody and further necessary action has been taken.
