JAMMU, Sept 8: Akhnoor police seized illicit liquor pouches from a general store at Badyala Chak.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Akhnoor police station conducted raid in a general store at Badyala Chak and seized 26 pouches of illicit liquor.
The owner of the shop identified as Romesh Kumar, son of Om Parkash, a resident of Badyala Chak managed to escape from the shop taking benefit of the darkness.
A case under FIR Number 189/17 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Akhnoor police station and hunt has been launched to arrest the accused.
Police team led by SHO Akhnoor Inspector Pushpinder Singh conducted the raid and seized the illicit liquor pouches under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Munish Anand and SP Rural Arun Gupta.
