REASI, May 23: Police today smashed illicit liquor distill, which was being operated in a house at village Bamblya in Pouni, and also arrested the accused person in this connection.
A specific information was received by Reasi Police that some persons at village Bamblya were indulged in manufacturing of illicit liquor. On this information, a Police party led by Sub-Inspector Jasvinder Choudhary, SHO Ransoo swung into action and raided the house of Kapoor Singh. Police seized 10 litres of illicit liquor alongwith 10 litres lahan and all the material being used for preparation of illegal desi liquor. 500 litres lahan was also recovered and destroyed on the spot.
Police arrested the accused and registered a case under FIR number 05/2016 U/S 48-(e) Excise Act at Police Station Ransoo.
