Srinagar, Mar 15: Police today recovered 800 litres of kerosene and arrested three accused persons.
A police spokesperson in a statement said that Police in Kulgam recovered illicit kerosene and arrested three accused persons involved in the commission of crime.
“Acting on specific information about selling of kerosene oil in black market at Arreh and Shalipora, Kulgam. The police parties headed by SHO Police Station Kulgam along with Executive Magistrate conducted searches in the said villages and recovered 500 and 300 liters of Illicit kerosene,” police said.
“The illicit kerosene was recovered from the possession of Tariq Ahmad Dar son of Bashir Ahmad Dar, resident of Shalipora, Ishfaq Ahmad Wani, son of Ali Mohammad Wani, resident of Arreh and Mohammad Lateef Khan, resident of Sungai Danmar, Srinagar. The accused persons involved in the commission of crime have been arrested,” police said
“Accordingly, cases vide FIR No. 12 & 21/2025 under relevant sections of law have been registered in Police Station Kulgam and investigation is in progress in both cases. Preliminary investigation reveals that the accused were selling the kerosene oil illegally in black market..
