DODA, Jan 17: During a drive, Forest Division Bhaderwah today dismantled illegally raised tin sheds and tents on forest land.
As per reports by field staff, a fresh attempt of encroachment by illegally raising tin sheds and tents (under construction) in Chiralla Forest Range was made by miscreants after which a prompt action was initiated and a team headed by Range Officer Chiralla, Neetan Khajuria including B.O Jangalwar, Ajaz Ahmed, B.O Jai-II, Pawan Kumar and other field functionaries vacated the forest land in Jangalwar Block of Chiralla Forest Range.
The encroachment was removed by forest team along with administration, Forest Protection Force and cops who immediately swung into action and started eviction proceedings under Section 66 of IFA 1927.
The entire operation was done under the guidance and overall supervision of Divisional Forest Officer Bhaderwah, Mohd. Ayub Khan,
DFO Bhaderwah has stated that the Forest Department was very serious regarding such encroachment on forest land and it will take stringent action regarding illegal activities on forest resources.
