BARAMULLA, Nov 9: As per the directions issued by Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Bhupinder Kumar, Tehsildar Pattan along with a team of revenue officials today conducted an anti-encroachment drive at Hygam Wetland Reserve where an illegal construction was demolished on the spot.
The drive was launched under the joint supervision of ADC Sopore, Parvaiz Sajad and SDM Pattan, Syed Fahim.
The team headed by Tehsildar Pattan inspected the site at Gohal Tengpora Bund near Hygam Wetland where they found illegal constructions which was subsequently demolished.
On this occasion, Tehsildar Pattan warned strict legal action against all those indulging in encroachment of wetlands, state land, kach-charie or agriculture land.
He urged the people to abide by the rules and regulations as such type of land has larger public significance.
