UDHAMPUR, Jan 13: IL&FS Transportation Ltd engaged in building the Chenani Nashri Tunnel on NH 1 A, organized a 5 days teacher training workshop at Udhampur under its CSR initiative PARIVARTAN.
Thirty Govt teachers belonging to Primary, Middle and High Schools from various zones of district Udhampur attended this workshop. The teachers underwent training on classroom management, classroom communication, emerging trends in teaching pedagogy, use of IT and multimedia in classroom and emerging trends in education such as CCE, convergence of vocational and educational streams etc.
Valediction Ceremony was attended by Ved Parkash, (DEPO Udhampur), Col. M.M. Shah (Regional Head IL&FS Education) and Nainish Tikoo (Associate Head, IL&FS Skills).
The government school teachers from all the zones of District Udhampur except Chenani showed lot of enthusiasm and passion in embracing and learning new concepts and techniques to enhance learning in classroom for their students.
Ved Prakash (DEPO) laid emphasis on the need of building capacity of teachers in government schools. He exhorted the initiative and thanked IL&FS Transportation for conducting this training workshop during the winter vacation. Col. M.M Shah (SM, Retd) while speaking on the occasion told that IL&FS Education shall continue to implement the educational, skill development initiatives under project Parivartan in a manner that the community benefits at large.
He said the audience that this was the second such workshop under the initiative as the first one was conducted in District Ramban in Govt Middle School Batote with the active support of Education Department officials. The last workshop in which another batch of 30 Govt teachers will be trained will begin in Chenani during the next week. Nainish Tikoo proposed the vote of thanks.
