IIT Jammu announces flagship events for February 2025

JAMMU, Feb 10: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jammu today announced its upcoming flagship events, scheduled to take place from February 15 to 17, 2025.
The announcement was made in a press conference by Prof Manoj Singh Gaur, Director of IIT Jammu, along with faculty members Dr Vijay Kumar Pal, Dr Ankit Dubey, Dr Vinay Sharma and Dr Navneet Kumar.
The institute unveiled three major events that will be hosted during this period: Udyamitsav – An Entrepreneurship Festival, aimed at fostering innovation and business acumen among students and professionals; Pragyaan – An Open Day, Outreach Program, designed to bridge academia and society by showcasing IIT Jammu’s research and educational initiatives and Nava-Pravartan – A Science and Technology Expo, providing a platform for cutting-edge technological advancements and research developments.
The highlight of the announcement was that Dr Jitendra Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science & Technology, will grace the occasion as the chief guest on February 17th, 2025.
Speaking at the conference, Prof Manoj Singh Gaur emphasized the significance of these events in promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and academic outreach. “These initiatives reflect IIT Jammu’s commitment to fostering a culture of research, collaboration, and technological advancement. We invite students, researchers, and industry professionals to participate and benefit from these engaging events.”
The three-day event is expected to attract leading academicians, industry experts, researchers, and students from across the country, providing a dynamic platform for networking, knowledge exchange, and innovation.
